Shakespeare said to “love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” Shakespearean quotes aren’t gospel, but that’s a good quote. “Love all” and “do wrong to none” are kind of self-explanatory. Fairly impossible to fully achieve, but worthy of our hearts’ intentions.

However, is trust obsolete? The more untrustworthy some of our leaders are, the more some people seem to like them. How did untrustworthiness become so cool? Why will so many people continue to vote FOR untrustworthiness?

I feel like we live in cuckoo land, idolizing the wrong things.

Where did the fruit of the Spirit go? Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

(I don’t see “greatness” on the list.)

But maybe the people who bear that fruit are, in the end, the great ones.
