I accept the results of the 2024 election. I believe our country has election integrity. Most of our people want Trump. There’s one thing, however, that keeps bothering me. It doesn’t have to do with election integrity. It has to do with media integrity. I’m not sure all of our people have ever heard words like these (below) from Trump. Have you? Biased media seems to commit “sins of omission.” Please feel free to look these up, but not on biased media. You might not find them there.
In the past, I assumed everyone knew about the Access Hollywood tape and the myriads of hurtful and damaging things the incoming president has said, but now I’m not sure. I wonder if it would have made a difference.
After the Trump/Biden debate, I asked a friend if they believed Trump had lied during the debate. They said no. I think this is because of the media this person consumes.
It’s one thing to know and vote with eyes wide open. It’s another thing not to know.
Here are a couple of examples and the link for the documented lies.
Trump on NATO. “One of the presidents of a big country asked (me) whether the US would still defend the country if they were invaded by Russia even if they don’t pay or are delinquent. No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage (Russia) to do whatever the hell they want.” (ABC News, Feb. 11, 2024 video)
Trump on Kim Jong Un after their meeting in 2018. “I was really being tough and so was he and we were going back and forth, and then we fell in love.” (BBC video (among others) Sept. 30, 2018). You can google his favorable comments regarding other dictators as well.
About lying. See the Fact Checker database here regarding Trump’s 30,573 false or misleading statements during his first term in office.

I really don’t think any of this will sway anyone’s opinion. It would just be nice if everyone could distinguish between infotainment and facts.
I can’t even believe I’m writing this.
