The word “selah” appears 74 times in the Bible, mostly in the Psalms. It’s likely an instruction to take a break in the singing (because the Psalms were meant to be sung).
So this week I’m taking a break, which I’ll call a “selah.”
I just need time to listen to God, to process some loss, to double down on a couple of projects.
Do you ever need to take a selah?
“The time has come
To stop allowing the clutter
To clutter my mind
Like dirty snow,
Shove it off and find
Clear time, clear water.”
