I think God loves these things.

Humble eyes.
A truthful tongue.
Hands that protect innocent blood.
A heart that devises righteous schemes.
Feet that are quick to rush into good.
A true witness who pours out truths.
A person who stirs up peace in the community.

I say that because of Proverbs 6:16-19. It’s a list of things God hates, so if that’s so, he must love the opposite.

“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies,
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.”

So back to the former list, it seems that those who love humility, truth, righteousness and peace should be able to find a bit of common ground in this moment.

I just read about an upcoming seminar called “Building Bridges: Conversations of Grace and Humility” at Denver Seminary. Topics to be covered will include “why humility is your most powerful tool for authentic connection, practical ways to find common ground without compromising truth, representing Christ well in a polarized culture, and building bridges across generational, political, and cultural divides.”

Sounds like someone’s trying to stir up peace in the community.
